When I took my paternity hiatus, I wanted to use this time to find out where I truly belonged in this industry. Being a Jack of all trades, although highly useful in a studio setting. Doesn`t leave as much of a long term impression as someone who does one thing incredibly well, or so it seems.
Although I am proud of the work I have done, I can't say I've ever worked on anything great, something I can be proud of or anything memorable.
So I thought if I'm going to work on anything worth while. I'll have to try to do it myself. So I gave myself a mission. While on hiatus, complete two shorts and two series pitches. and here is the first of my endeavours well under way, my leica for the short "Paper Man" is complete. Albeit without a soundtrack. I haven't created any music for the short yet and don't really want to have any copyright issues with "borrowed" pieces. But I'm happy with it nonetheless. What's next? trying to find funding to continue on this film and hire some folks to help out. Because although I'll never except personal limitations. I think it's important to understand time limitations.
